I have used the 'Speckle Rib Stitch' for this pattern. The pattern is worked in DK wool, using double thread throughout. You can use chunky wool if desired. This is a simple and easy pattern to follow.

Using double thread, combined with the texture of the stitch, this makes the cosies thick & padded, which will keep the teapot warm.

I wanted to use bright colours for this teapot cosy, something perfect to brighten up a cold winters day.

This pattern comes with a basic knitting instruction booklet for beginners.

Here is my first novelty teapot cosy. Inspired by my family tree research, this is based on a British Edwardian Lady.

I have used bold colours, using the round teapot to shape the skirt. The doll comes with a detachable hat, adorned with flowers & a bow at the back of the dress.

The skirt, bodice & hat are knitted all in one, so no wobbly heads...

I have used double knitting wool, but I just used double thread, so this knits up really quickly.

I have thought of spring and the colours during this season. Spring is a wonderful season, as we emerge from winter & nature starts to wake up.

I love the colour combination & uniformity of the strips, perfect for a teatime table at the beginning of spring.

Stitching Project - Knitting Journal - Stowe House - Buckinghamshire - December 2019

This year, 2019, I have decided to explore texture & colours in my knitting. I want to record this through a journal & be inspired by my home in the English countryside or places I have visited.

My project is based on a day trip to Stowe, Buckinghamshire, England. It is a great place for long walks, or in the summer to have a picnic.

I took photos in Autumn 2017. I created a kaleidoscope pattern from the main photograph, and based my colours around this image.

The colours I used in this sampler were: Blue, Light Blue, Orange, and Camel.

I used Moss Stitch, using alternate colours for each row.

Stitching Project - Knitting Journal - Waterperry Gardens, Oxfordshire - November 2019

This year, 2019, I have decided to explore texture & colours in my knitting. I want to record this through a journal & be inspired by my home in the English countryside or places I have visited.

My project is based on a day trip in August to Waterperry Gardens, Oxfordshire, England. My daughter & I had a wonderful morning, looking around the gardens. So many beautiful colours, but a very, very warm day.

I sat under the arch for quite a while to keep cool, as it was so warm that morning.

I put together a collage of the main colours that I wanted to use. I then made a kaleidoscope of this collage to use as a base for my design.

The colours I used in my sampler were: Blue, Green, Pink, and Lilac.
