Knitting Pattern

This design is inspired by a colour work motif from a 1940s vintage knitting pattern. I have incorporated the colours from the English painted daisy carnation flower, which was once a wild flower before being cultivated. The pattern is worked flat and uses 4mm single-pointed knitting needles. The decorations would look beautiful hanging in the house all year round, or included in a seasonal decoration. This is an intermediate knitting pattern.

WWI Red Cross Nurse Doll

This doll is 14cm tall and is dressed as a British Red Cross Nurse from WWI. She wears a light blue dress with puffed sleeves. She has a bonnet and wears the distinctive nurse's apron with a red cross. I designed a larger doll for the WWI 100 years remembrance in 2014.
