Knitting Pattern

I have used the 'Knot Stitch' for this pattern. The pattern is worked in DK wool, using double thread throughout. You can use chunky wool if desired. This is a really simple pattern to follow.

Using double thread, combined with the texture of the stitch, this makes the cosies thick & padded, which will keep the teapot warm.

I love the colour combination & uniformity of the strips, perfect for a teatime table.

This pattern comes with a basic knitting instruction booklet for beginners.

Knitted House

My knitted pink English country cottage is only 10cm x 10cm. It is based on the many beautiful cottages in the Cotswold area of the UK.

The house is very easy to knit & is finished off with a simple moss stitch roof & chimney. The house comes complete with a front garden, stone path & hedges.

The garden is finished off with lots of French knots to represent flowers.

This is a straightforward pattern & I have included lots of photographs to help with construction.

Knitting Pattern

This is an excellent introduction to Fair Isle knitting.

The teapot cosy is designed for a 2-cup traditional teapot; unfortunately, it does not fit a coffee pot. See the photo below for the shape that this cosy is designed for.

The cosy has a picot hem at the bottom & top, which gives the teapot cosy a delicate finish.

This would be perfect as a home-warming gift for those who still enjoy their tea from a traditional teapot.

The pattern comes with a basic knitting instruction booklet for beginners when bought from Etsy.
